Cyber Hook
What does randomization do to this game?
The first 6 worlds become available in a random order, with the 7th world always being unlocked last. Each world has all levels available once unlocked, with one world being unlocked from the start. Each subsequent world requires a specific number of total Stars to be unlocked (This is currently the same as base game: 0, 15, 30, 55, 80, 110, 140).
Level completions as well as the three star times for each level become checks. There are also sanity options in the YAML for each green block being a check.
Most Abilities are also randomized, these include Air Dash, Hook Pull, Finger Gun, Progressive Hook Reach, and Progressive Time Warp. Hook Reach lowers the distance your hook can reach and starts at 50%, with four progressive levels that increase it to 75%, 100%, 133%, and 166% respectively. Time Warp starts disabled, with five progressive levels where the first enables it at 50%, then each subsequent level increases it to 75%, 100%, 133%, and 166% respectively.
What items are shuffled into the pool?
Stars, Abilities, Lost Numbers, and Traps, if enabled, are shuffled into the pool. Stars are used to unlock new worlds, Abilities are based off the players original move set which is described above, and Lost Numbers are a junk item. There are two traps available to be enabled, the Random Gravity Direction Trap, which randomizes the direction of gravity to an unfavorable angle, and the Increased Gravity Trap, which randomizes the strength of gravity.
What is the Goal of Cyber Hook in Archipelago?
The goal of the game is to complete the level One More Time in the final world, The End. The level will be locked until every other level in the final world is completed.
Is the DLC required to play the Archipelago
No, the DLC is not required to play. The game does not use or randomize any of the worlds or levels from the DLC for Archipelago.
