Dead Cells

Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

A list of all games you have generated can be found on the User Content page.

Progression Balancing

A system that can move progression earlier, to try and prevent the player from getting stuck and bored early. A lower setting means more getting stuck. A higher setting means less getting stuck.

Goal Settings

Boss Cells Goal

The Boss Cell difficulty required to complete the goal. The player must defeat the Hand of the King (or reach the End region) at this difficulty level or higher. 0 = No Boss Cells (easiest) 5 = 5 Boss Cells (hardest). The 5 Boss Cells ending is only reachable through the Astrolab and Observatory, so it REQUIRES the Rise of the Giant DLC: generation fails if you pick 5 without it.

Extra Locations

Enemy Sanity

Adds a "Kill <enemy>" location for every enemy type: the first time you kill each one sends a check. Only enemies that can appear in your seed (enabled DLCs, reachable biomes, Boss Cells goal) get a location. Bosses are not included: they are already checks.

Room Randomizer

Room Randomizer

WIP, DO NOT BRING IN MULTIPLAYER Shuffles which biome each door leads to. A biome keeps its own exits and content; only destinations change. Off: vanilla layout. Depth: biomes of the same depth are shuffled together. Tier: biomes are shuffled inside 3 groups (before the first bosses, between the first and second boss tiers, between the second and third), and the bosses of each tier are shuffled together, so every group still ends with a random boss of its tier. Chaotic: every biome and boss is shuffled with no constraint.

Item Pool Settings

Include Cosmetics in Pool

Include cosmetic items (skins and head accessories) in the item pool. When enabled, skins and head items are added as filler items that can appear in other players' worlds. When disabled, only gameplay-relevant items are in the pool, and extra filler slots are filled with consumables and gems. Noteably, disabling this will also disable the "Giant Comb" and "Sewing Scissors" locations as they depend on cosmetic checks sent, but they will still be in the item pool

Trap Percentage

Percentage of the item pool slots that will hold a trap instead of a useful/filler item. Death Link Group

This option allows custom values only. Please enter your desired values below.

Disable Death Link for Aspects

At the start of your game you have 13 aspects to find, and you'll have to die a lot on purpose. That's a little incompatible with Death Link, so with this option enabled you won't send Death Link while you still have aspects to check.
