Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

A list of all games you have generated can be found on the User Content page.

Game Options

Progression Balancing

A system that can move progression earlier, to try and prevent the player from getting stuck and bored early. A lower setting means more getting stuck. A higher setting means less getting stuck.

Character Match Pro Challenge Checks

Add two global Pro-difficulty Character Match checks. Win five consecutive holes in one match (a tie or loss breaks the streak), and win a match by at least seven holes. Only the human player's results count. These checks do not change the Pro opponent goal requirements. These demanding checks contain only non-progression rewards.

Character Match Course Access

Choose whether regular Character Match courses start open. Toadstool Tour uses the same six availability bits for Character Match and regular Tournament courses. The default links both menus to the shuffled regular Tournament items. The compatibility choice exposes all six in both modes and therefore precollects all six regular Tournament access items.

300-Yard Drive Check (Experimental)

Experimental: add Drive 300 Yards for P1's first tee shot (non-putter). Counts final distance including roll, using the retail yardage display's data. The client must be connected before the tee shot. CPU shots, later strokes, imported saves and in-flight peaks do not count. This optional check has passed live testing but cannot hold progression items.

Cumulative Driving and Putting Checks (Experimental)

Experimental slot-wide checks: drive 100,000 yards and sink over 1,000 feet of putts. Counts completed P1 tee shots including roll, and holed putts only, shared across all your golfers. CPU shots and missed putts do not count. Totals and unsent credits are journaled across client restarts. Stay connected before each shot; one gameplay client per slot. Neither location can hold progression. The final 100,000-yard threshold and the cumulative putting check still need end-to-end playtesting.

Native In-Game Unlock Messages

Choose client-only text or experimental serialized in-game notices. One AP notice is allocated through the game's text system at a time. It retires after about three seconds or a detected transition; waiting notices stay queued. Native game dialogs are not replaced. Requires the matching release patch. Recent live tests passed, but wider transition coverage is still needed. Client-only remains the conservative default.

Gale Force Winds Speed (MPH)

Wind speed applied to the next eligible hole by Gale Force Winds. Defaults to 99 MPH, which has passed live testing. Choose 20–99 MPH for a gentler or stronger trap. Direction stays random. This does nothing when there are no trap receipts; trap count defaults to zero.
This is a range option.

Visual Gate Indicators

Dim unowned native portraits and main-mode icons. Only the 16 native portraits are covered. Selected owned golfers retain retail's selected shading. Hidden portraits stay hidden. Main-mode icons follow each player count's actual retail menu. This does not change selection permissions. Advance Tour portraits and child/difficulty screens are not covered.

Multiplayer Ring Attack Bags (Experimental)

Experimental P2-P4 standard-club restrictions in Ring Attack. Assigned Native Bags uses each native golfer's own received club items, or the global bag in Global Club Unlocks. P1 is unchanged; CPUs and other modes are untouched. Transfer golfers and P2-P4 putter lengths/techniques retain retail behavior. Requires the matching 1.1.0 patch, including the automatic-club selection fix. Keep the default for retail P2-P4 bags.

Goal

Choose the accomplishments that complete this Archipelago slot. Best Badge goals require 50 or 100 distinct course-hole badges. They automatically enable individual Best Badge checks so Archipelago retains progress across reconnects and retail save resets. Repeating a birdie on the same hole does not add another badge. Win Bowser Star Championship requires first place in that Star tournament. Owning Bowser Badlands, a top-three finish, or its regular tournament win does not complete this goal.
