What items do get randomized ?
Currently, the items randomized are:
All Brush Powers and Upgrades
All Divine Instruments, excepted Divine Retribution (you always start with it).
Tools and Treasures
Story and quest items are Work In Progress.
Dungeons Keys and Praise related upgrades are not included yet.(The first Astral pouch is a static Sphere 0 item to avoid a softlock)
What locations do give randomized items ?
- All chests and Brush Gods in Arc 2 (up to Ninetails)
- All merchants in Arc 2 can give randomized items.
- Bosses don't give randomized items yet.
- Any check that has a tutorial that would softlock you is excluded.
Known issues and softlocks:

- Trying to do the sunrise cutscence without sunrise will softlock you.
- Entering Hana valley Sapling tree area without bloom softlocks you.
- Checking Tama's without cherry bomb, or if cherry bomb isn't vanilla will softlock you.
- Melting the ice to exit the Moegami room in Moon Cave will solftlcoks you when doing the inferno tutorial.
- Dragon Orb,Shell Amulet cannot be picked up.
- Chests available both in cursed and healed areas don't get randomized in cursed area.
- Fishing with Kokari for the whooper without having caught the giant salmon before will crash the game
- Kaguya and Canine warriors cutscenes in Sasa Sanctuary may overlap, which may lead to a softlock; To bypass, refuse to fight the dog before doing the digging minigame with Kaguya.
Other info
- Mist warp is a very powerful tool:you start with Kamiki, Shinshu, Agata,Taka, Kusa, City Checkpoint and Ryoshima Coast Warp unlocked.
- Some warps may allow you to access the healed version of a map without blooming the guardian tree, Logic should account for that. You'll find a list of the possible ways to do so below.
- Vista of the gods will always be found in Kamiki Village. You can also get it from its vanilla source.
- Mask will always be found in Calcified Cavern (Except in the freestanding item spot, it breaks the cutscene.)
- Moon Cave ingredients will be randomized in Moon Cave. (You can bypass this with the settings.)
- Leaf piles may also be destroyed with Inferno or Fireburst
- The NightTimeChecks options no longer assumes you need Crescent for chests under leaf piles, as their locations are made obvious.
Healed areas available without blooming their guardian sapling:
Shinshu Field:
- by Mist Warping
- by exiting agata (not tested, since it's quite rare to have to do this)
Agata Forest
- by exiting Taka pass (Although the bridge won't be here.)
Taka Pass
- by exiting Kusa Village, Sasa Sanctuary or City Checkpoint (All 3 can be mist warped to)
How do I enter X?
Tsuta Ruins
- You'll find the Tsuta ruins key in Agata Forest. Unfortunatly it's not enouth to open the door. You'll need to do tha vanilla way and fish for the key with Kokari.
Gale Shrine
- Vanilla after getting all orbs, any other setting isn't implemented and won't work.
Moon cave
- Vanilla after defeating Crimson Helm, any other setting isn't implemented and won't work.
Ryoshima Coast
- You can open the drawbridge with solar flare or the statue and inferno by lighting the arrow. Beat Orochi in Moon Cave to light the statue. Another way is warping to Cursed Ryoshima with Mist Warp.
Sunken Ship
- Vanilla after giving prayer slips to Rao and jumping to lunar turret and using crescent
Imperial Palace (Issun size)
- You'll always find the lucky mallet in the Sunken Ship Treasure room chests for now, as you need to have it in your inventory to trigger the chased by the water dragon cutscene, which will open this dungeon.
Himiko's Palace
- Vanilla after beating blight
N. Ryoshima Coast
- meet Himiko for the first time
Inside the Water Dragon
- Vanilla, talk with Otohime to gain access
Oni Island
- Vanilla: After doing inside the dragon, go see Otohime, then run to Ankoku Temple to open the shortcut, In Himiko's Chambers, beat the evil Rao, then run to watcher's cape.
