Pokémon Battle Revolution
What does randomization do to this game?
Colosseums get shuffled in the item pool, making you go through in a completely different order than usual. Alongside this, other items can be shuffled, such as Rental Passes.
What items and locations can get shuffled?
Currently, the following items can get shuffled:
- Colosseums
- Rental Passes
- Pokétopia Badges (Macguffin for unlocking Stargazer Colosseum)
- Poké Coupons
As for locations:
- Clearing Colosseums
- Borrowing Rental Passes from Gateway Colosseum
What is the goal of Pokémon Battle Revolution
The goal is to beat Stargazer Colosseum, which will unlocked through the following methods based on your options:
- Finding a certain number of Pokétopia Badges
- Beating a certain number of Colosseums
- A combination of the above
When the player receives an item, what happens?
Colosseums and Rental Passes will be automatically unlocked, while Poké Coupons and Pokétopia Badges will be instantly added onto the amount you already have.
In the case of Rental Passes, you may need to exit the menu for them to properly appear.
Can I play this offline?
Kinda. You won't be able to send or receive any items, even in a singleplayer setting, but any checks you do will be remembered and sent out once you connect to the server again.
How does each Rental Pass become available to borrow?
Here's the requirements for each Rental Pass:
- Cyndy & Nate are available from the start
- Tommy & Daisy become available once you beat both Main Street and Waterfall Colosseums
- Joel & Natalie become available once beat Neon, Crystal and Sunny Park Colosseums while also having at least 2 Rental Passes
Can I transfer Pokémon in from the DS games?
No, currently there is no way to connect to the DS games in Dolphin.
However, you can still import Pokémon in using PKHeX, as the save file should still be compatible with it.
Known Issues
The D-Pad controls are, for the most part, completely unusable when selecting a Colosseum to enter. Fixing this would take a complete rewrite of how this functions, so don't expect it for a bit.
For now, you can use the Wii Remote pointer instead.
