Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

A list of all games you have generated can be found on the User Content page.

Normalize Encounters

In the vanilla game, encounter table entries have varying probabilities, from 20% down to 1%. This option will normalize these, so they all have the same probability. The normalized probabilities are 1/12 for each entry in the land table, and 1/5 for each entry in the water and rod tables. This option is modifiable in the in-game options menu. Note: this does not mean that there are twelve encounter slots, and a 1/12 chance for each slot. Often there will only be two or three encounter slots per route, occupying all twelve entries in the encounter table. This option only means that the *smallest* possible probability for any slot will be 1/12. (except for special encounters, where there may be more or less table entries)
