Running with Rifles
Where is the options page?
The player options page for this game contains all the options you need to configure and export a config file.
What does randomization do to this game?
In the vanilla campaign, your rank determines which weapons, equipment, radio calls, and squad size you unlock. In the randomized version:
- Squadmate Slots (rank-ups) are items in the multiworld pool. Each one increases your rank by 1, giving you a bigger squad and access to better gear.
- Weapons can be shuffled by category (e.g., "Machineguns") or individually (e.g., "AK-47"). You can't use a weapon until you've received the corresponding item.
- Radio calls are shuffled. You need both the Radio master item and specific call items to use them.
- Map access keys gate progression between the 10 campaign maps and 2 final missions.
- Side missions are locations that send items to other players.
- Vanilla grenades, vests, and costumes can optionally be shuffled into the pool (grouped or individual).
What is the goal?
Depending on your options:
- Campaign Complete (default): Complete both Final Missions.
- Maps Conquered: Conquer a configurable number of maps.
What items can I receive from other worlds?
- Squadmate Slots (rank promotions)
- Map access keys (11 keys, starting map is always unlocked)
- Weapon unlocks (9 categories or ~196 individual weapons)
- Radio call unlocks (12 calls + master Radio item)
- Equipment (vests, deployables, binoculars)
- Throwables (C4, claymores, impact grenades, flares)
- Vanilla grenades, vests, and costumes (if shuffled)
- RP bundles, XP boosts, rare weapon vouchers
- Traps (demotion, radio jammer, friendly fire)
