Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

Game Options

Progression Balancing

A system that can move progression earlier, to try and prevent the player from getting stuck and bored early. A lower setting means more getting stuck. A higher setting means less getting stuck.
This is a range option.

Accepted values:
Normal range: 0 - 99

The following values have special meanings, and may fall outside the normal range.
  • 0: Disabled
  • 50: Normal
  • 99: Extreme

Accessibility

Set rules for reachability of your items/locations. **Full:** ensure everything can be reached and acquired. **Minimal:** ensure what is needed to reach your goal can be acquired.

Puzzle Options

puzzle_count

Number of puzzles to randomly generate.
This is a range option.

Accepted values:
Normal range: 1 - 2000

starting_puzzles

Number of puzzles to randomly add to the starting inventory. These will be removed from the item pool.
This is a range option.

Accepted values:
Normal range: 0 - 20

Target Completion Percentage

Percent of puzzles which must be completed to finish the world, rounding up. If you set this to a low value, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to disable release on world completion.
This is a range option.

min_difficulty

Minimum difficulty to select generated presets from. Note that not all genres have presets at "Hard" difficulty, so they will never appear if the minimum difficulty is set to Hard (unless you specify custom presets for them).

max_difficulty

Maximum difficulty to select generated presets from. Takes priority over the Minimum Difficulty option if it is lower. Puzzles on "Ridiculous" difficulty are either very big or not actually randomized. Use this difficulty at your own risk.

genre_weights

Relative chance for each genre to be selected as a random preset. Set a genre's weight to 0 or remove it from this list to disable it.
This option cannot be modified here. Please edit your .yaml file manually.

preset_overrides

List of presets to use for a given genre. Replaces the default presets for that puzzle if specified. For example, to make Net puzzles always use wrapping grids, add: net: [5x5w, 7x7w, 9x9w, 11x11w]

genre_min_difficulty

Minimum difficulty for each genre. Use 0 for easy, 1 for normal, 2 for hard, and 3 for ridiculous.

genre_max_difficulty

Maximum difficulty for each genre. Use 0 for easy, 1 for normal, 2 for hard, and 3 for ridiculous.
This option cannot be modified here. Please edit your .yaml file manually.

fixed_puzzles

List of additional puzzles to include. These puzzles will be placed at the start of the list. The remaining list (up to puzzle_count) will be filled according to genre_weights. You can specify by genre (net), parameter string (net:2x2), seed (net:2x2#12345), or ID (net:2x2:c494).
This option cannot be modified here. Please edit your .yaml file manually.
Item & Location Options

Local Items

Forces these items to be in their native world.
 

Non-local Items

Forces these items to be outside their native world.
 

Start Inventory

Start with the specified amount of these items. Example: "Bomb: 1"

Start Inventory from Pool

Start with the specified amount of these items and don't place them in the world. Example: "Bomb: 1" The game decides what the replacement items will be.

Start Hints

Start with these item's locations prefilled into the ``!hint`` command.
 

Start Location Hints

Start with these locations and their item prefilled into the ``!hint`` command.
 

Excluded Locations

Prevent these locations from having an important item.
 

Priority Locations

Prevent these locations from having an unimportant item.
 

Item Links

Share part of your item pool with other players.
