Twilight Princess Guide

Twilight Princess

Does this work with Dusklight?

Currently the Dusklight implentation uses this apworld for generation. The "Twilight Princess Client" in the Archipelago launcher does not work with dusklight.

GameCube on dolphin is the only version of Twilight Princess inherently supported by this apworld. NA and PAL regions have garunteed support, JP "should" work but is untested.

What does randomization do to this game?

Items get shuffled between the different locations in the game, so each playthrough is unique. Randomized locations might include chests, items received from NPCs, Golden Bugs, Poes, Rupees, and more. The randomizer also includes quality-of-life features such as a fully-opened world, removing many cutscenes, transform anywhere, and more.

Which locations get shuffled?

All locations will be given an item. According to settings some locations can be set to not have progession or usefull items so you can ignore that location.

What is the goal of Twilight Princess?

Reach and defeat Ganondorf in Hyrule Castle. This will require the Master Sword (Light filled is not needed), and any other items necessary to reach Ganondorf.

What is go mode for Twilight Princess?

What does another world's item look like in TP?

Another world's items will look like a Piece of Paper.

When the player receives an item, what happens?

When the player receives an item, it will be added to a queue, where link will get the items one by one. Like many other Zelda randomizers, Link will hold the item out causing him to pause so be ready.

There is also a validation system that will ensure you receive all the items you are supposed to

Do the in-game hints mean anything?

Yes* Signs will generate with hints for locations in Twilight Princess. *These hint signs do not work with the Archipelago Hinting system, and will say "archipelago item" for non local items.

I need help! What do I do?

Refer to the troubleshooting steps in the setup guide or the Base Randomizer Website first. Then, if you are still stuck, please ask in the Twilight Princess channel (in the custom Games N-Z section) in the Archipelago server.
